Salkehatchie Summer Mission Trip

May 17th-24th Gator Wesley will be participating in Salkehatchie. Salkehatchie is a camp where you work for the week on houses of people who can’t financially or physically do it themselves. It has existed for 40+ years and it is now on 50+ sites. This summer they have created a Salkehatchie experience specifically designed for college students and young adults – Golden Strip. Registration is now open online at Salkehatchie.org orhttps://www.signup4.net/Public/ap.aspx?EID=SALK10E. The cost of the week is $215 per person, but we are using some of the Lilly grant money to make it just  $100 for the week. We will leave at 6:30 am on May 17th and return at approximately 5 pm on May 24th. I know some of y’all will be in the second week of Summer A courses or off serving at camp or other internships, but if you have nothing to do til Summer B or camp/internship hasn’t started yet, than please consider going. The ABSOLUTE deadline to register is May 3rd. However, the organizers would prefer if we signed up by Friday, April 18th.  Sign up online at www.gatorwesley.com/Salkehatchie and Narcie will contact you individually about any other info she needs.  Your only additional cost besides the $100 is your meals on the way and on the way back. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at narcie@gatorwesley.com

Called To Ministry?

One of our roles as a United Methodist campus ministry is to develop leaders. Part of that role involves helping students explore whether they might be called into ministry. The Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church has put together a new website for people who want to learn more. Check it out at: http://www.mycallfl.org/
