Gator Wesley is committed to leadership development through multiple programs including Upper Room Staff, Wesley Leadership Team, and Internships. The Upper Room Staff is an intensive student leadership and discipleship team that assists in organizing and leading the Wesley Foundation while living together in Christian community. Opportunities are available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have been involved in Wesley ministries. Positions are for the academic year (fall and spring semesters). Upper Room Staff are chosen through an application process each November for the following academic year.  Interns are chosen through an application process each March for the following academic year.

Developing student leaders is a core value at Gator Wesley.  The Gator Wesley Leadership Team provides the main support in running the ministries of Gator Wesley. Opportunities are available to all students regardless of year in school or experience with Wesley.  The Wesley Leadership Team is chosen through an application process that begins in the March for the upcoming school year.

Internships are also available to upperclassmen who have served in some capacity on our Leadership Team.  These are task-based areas of focus where you’ll get the opportunity to specialize in an aspect of Wesley you really enjoy.

Assistant Directorships are recent graduates and recent seminary graduates who would like to spend a year in campus ministry. Assistant Directors are generally in charge of a specific ministry area (missions, worship, discipleship, etc.) and help resource our student leaders. If you are interested in more details on becoming an assistant director at Gator Wesley, please contact Heather Pancoast.
