Dear Gator Wesley,
Aah, another Friday is upon us! Oh, I remember back when it was Thursday, and doesn’t it seem like it was just two or three days ago?… Or one…
Regardless! Today marks the beginning of a L’Arche trip up in Jacksonville. If you have any questions, please contact Katherine Morgan as soon as you can (I’m not sure if they’re too full to join last minute, but hey, better to ask late than never, right?) Word on the street (Gator Wesley group page) is that Travis Heatwole is attending, so if you want to have a good weekend, L’Arche is the place for you!
I’ve also heard that Heatwole and Alex Miller are skilled dancers of the African tradition, so if anyone else would like to start a petition for them to teach us how to groove, I’m in. Either way, dance ministry will continue to take place on Wednesdays after Evensong.
If you aren’t attending the L’Arche trip, we do NOT have anything scheduled for your Friday night; please feel free to go see Captain America at the Reitz. Laurie Tweed will be sitting at the front desk, though, so don’t expect a boring night at Gator Wesley if you do head over.
Our ULTIMATE FRISBEE PLAYOFF GAME (woo!) will take place on Tuesday, October 25, at 5:50 p.m. Congratulations on making it to the playoffs, Wesley team!
Next Friday, Gator Wesley will be celebrating fall in all of its glory with the Great Pumpkin Chase, a costumed, on-foot scavenger hunt. That will start at 7 p.m. on October 28, so start working on your costumes! (And clue-finding skills! And mail-time dances?)
Good luck to all, and I hope you have a beautiful weekend!
ALSO, if you’re looking for something to start of your Friday that’s crazy, slightly annoying and incredibly cute, I recommend this animal video.
Cheers!
